‘bonne nuit’ table lamp by michele de lucchi with alberto nason (blown borosilicate glass)

italian designer michele de lucchi recently completed a new collection of lighting and accessories for
produzione privata, a production company he founded. the collection features table lamps, pendant fixtures,
a floor lamp and a series of vases all with glass elements. ‘bonne nuit’ is a table lamp with a removable
cupola shade that diffuses the light coming form the bulb. the base is very much like a large goblet holding
the light within. this form is also apparent in the ‘bonne nuit’ 26 and 16 pendant lamps that feature the
same cupola shape but are suspended from above. ‘metafisica’ and ‘metafisica terra’ also have glass shades
except theirs are a large bulbous form that fit over a cylindrical light. the base of this series is made from
painted metal. the vase series is named kado and features stackable lids that can be narrowed depending
on the amount of flowers.
