foster + partners: arc table

foster + partners: arc table

the 'arc table' by foster + partners will be launched for the first time during the
2009 london design festival at the molteni & c store located at 199 shaftesbury avenue.

the table design draws on temporary fabric structures which are increasingly being used
in contemporary architectural design, hereby forming a soft, fluid base for the arc table.
the base is made from a material composed of cement and organic fibre, which is both
resistant and elastic at the same time. it is waterproof, and the mass-colored base in white
and two tones of grey, ensuring that the color stays fresh throughout its lifespan making it
suitable for indoor and outdoor use. 'arc' complements its base with tempered glass tops,
either 140 or 150 cm in diameter, in extra light and smoked finishes.

smells like Niemeyer in Brasilia..... oh yeah and the Repsol Gas Stations couple of years ago, were a rip-off of Candela's gas sations in Mexico for PEMEX.... (just my opinion, maybe is not)
