benjamin hubert: chimney lamps

chimney lights are hand thrown clay pendant lights with gloss white glazed interior

designer benjamin hubert has sent us images of his new work chimney which is a
collection of hand thrown, kiln fired clay pendant lamps manufactured by viaduct.
produced in a pottery studio in wales, the lamps utilize the natural clay of the region.
using traditional hand thrown techniques, each lamp has its own character with
a textured finish which is a contrast to the gloss white glazed interior. the collection of
lights are being presented at this year's 100% design london.

bravo! simple and necessary

Apart from the material which is inappropriate, (too heavy) these designs do not look like chimneys, they look like light shades. I would like to see a room lit by one of the thinner ones to see how the light is dispersed from such a narrow aperture, rather than 7 pictures of its manufacture! and for that reason im out..!
