joshua kirsch: ACP donor wheel

commissioned by the arts council of princeton, the ACP donor wheel by joshua kirsch
is a permanent sculpture which recognizes the institution's donors. housed in the rotunda
of the paul robeson center for the arts in princeton, new jersey, the motorized disk has about
2000 names which are loosely grouped by first letter of the donor's last name.
accompanying the sculpture is a control panel with buttons of each letter of the alphabet
(excluding Q and X). when someone wants to find a particular name, they can push the
corresponding first letter of the name on the panel. the wheel then turns and stops at the
section displaying names with that requested letter, backlighting those names with LEDs
to highlight them.
