pangolin backpack

pangolin backpack

this unusual backpack is modeled after the protective scales on the back of an animal known as the
pangolin. the bag is handmade in columbia using recycled tire inner tubes from trucks. the design is
arranged so the pieces retract onto one another rather than a standard zipper enclosure. the design mimics
the razor sharp scales on the back of the spiny pangolin. the design is kept closed using 3 magnetic closures
and provides a large storage capacity. using the tire tubes makes the bag extremely durable and gives it a
unique appearance. inside the bag is filled with a series of storage pouches for keeping pens and other
small things, while it is worn using two padded shoulder straps.

Heavy.....The unique appearance of recycled tires is indeed very interesting..but I have a bag made of recycled tires...woven straps pressed with anaconda skin pattern.....lovely but super heavy even empty!

The neodymium magnets used anywhere near your computer could cause problems for your hard drive.

It is Colombia (country) not columbia (state)!!

Reminds me of a backpack for the Swiss Army based on an armadillos shell. Very aggressive looking!

I got one! Two years of prototyping, we waiting for it since so long and now we got it!! It's really beautyfull! Everybody in the street stop me and ask me what is it? Cyclus mixed up inner tube and lighter stuff to make it not too heavy. We distribute Cyclus in France and europe. We order 45 of them and it will be available on our web site really soon. (beginnig of december)
