cloud partitions by makoto tanijiri

japanese architect makoto tanijiri of suppose design office  developed the designtide installation.

the 2.5 tons of unwoven cotton/polyester material used to make the cloud installation at
designtide exhibition is being recycled. it will be heated, compressed and formed into
suitcase wheels. designtide continues to make efforts to create installations that have
minimal waste.

the installation, which was made out of cotton and polyester, created a cloud-like space
that allowed visitors to wander around freely, enjoying works by over 60 groups
of exhibiting designers.
