stereotype is a door which has no lock. designed by katzutoyo yamamoto from dessence co, ltd.,
it consists only of a door handle meant for opening the door. however, though it does not have a lock,
it is not without security features. rather than having a lock like the stereotypical door, stereotype has
been designed in such a way, that the only way in which to forcibly enter is to destroy the door
through use of the door handle. therefore without the handle the door itself is locked.

This is just propaganda for something that allready exists.
With no further details, nobody can understand if there is a real concept behind this.
And if it's about pivot doors, I have allready used this 15 yrs ago...
opened using your hands or fingers - it remains locked,
unaccessible.
by placing the handle onto its surface one gains the ability to
open the door (from either side).
Also in terms of security measures...I'm sorry but a decent kick could open that door.
Maybe you will have to call the locsmith if you loose it, but imagine the locsmith's face if he has to open this...
Is it very difficult to open in case of a robbery? Is the difference big enough to carry a handle around?
what`s the result?
if the door can be open with the handle (says, they use some technology that made the door unlock while the handle is sticked on it), it is not considered as "locked"..
unless someone keep the door handle and we need to ask him to get it when we want to go thru it..
but then.. why not a key? hahaa, its much smaller
anyway, nice concept haha
