Thinking of a furniture with function as shelf, among a lot of lines drown,
selecting the most fundamental lines that can form a shape called as a shelf are converted to a body.
Horizontal and vertical lines by drawing meet across too make a partition.
The line to be horizontal makes a plane as a function of shelf, and the line to be vertical is linked to a post.
The cross of perpendicular and horizontal of line and plane is used to be naturally a partition.
Signature is made by a combination of simple and brief configuration factors.

To get some trash, fold, and make this a shelf. Sorry but, I doubt. Looks like I can do this at my home with my trash... =/

stop judging creative work in terms of "i could do this on my own, too" or not!!! in fact, YOU did not think of this design, and neither do you know what made the designer choose this exact form and means to create it!
In fact, the signature shelf is a very light, poetic and balanced piece of furniture which definitely merits acknowledgement and appreciation.

I don't know what one could possibly use this "shelf" for. The surfaces aren't level so a book will not stand on its end; a vase will tip; anything round will roll off or collect in a depression; picture frames will be in unattractive cockeyed angles. Linen, perhaps, but I keep those in a closet.
