these days, public fountains are typically an eyesore. the fountain mirror, designed by nicolas le moigne for inout, permits this urban infrastructure to be transformed into an outdoor bathroom, a place to freshen up.

nicolas le moigne won the designboom MACEF competition ‘RE-think and REcycle’ in 2005 with ‘watering can‘. the project was later changed to ‘twist & spout’ and unveiled at the ICFF designboom mart in new york in 2005. the same year le moigne participated also in the designboom mart in tokyo.
