dutch designer pepe heykoop is presenting brick series inside [d3] design talents at
imm cologne 2010. the starting point of the series was a drawing made by
james gulliver hancock. heykoop loved the image immediately, particularly the chair
in the top left corner of the piece and interpreted the drawing into bricks.
a small evolution, the brickseries project is about interpretation and imagination constructed
from wooden bricks which most children build their world's from.

following the construction of the brick chair, heykoop started building the brickchandelier
to test out the different possibilities of his building material. the chandelier reaches over
2 meters and is constructed from more than 1500 bricks, weighs 30 kg and stretches
270 cm wide.

brickseries will soon be taken into production by furnism.
