ligne roset and french designer inga sempe presented a settee - 'ruche', currently on display
at maison et objet 2010 in paris. its structure is made from wood and stands on
four slim legs. influenced by garden swing seats often used in summer, sempe used a distinctive
quilting - kind of 'boutis' stitch or padding made using a cross hatching of interrupted seams.
the highlights arising from these changes in level are very rich and their shading varies depending
on the fabric used. available in 1, 2 and 3 seat versions

A side table with an untrimed backrest, just like it's reference settee is a delight, that only the designer could have achieved.

I love it! It's so cute! I want to have two of them to put them in my living room. Inga Sempé is such a great designer. I hope she'll soon get a great prize for the quality of her work! I'm so excited!
