conversations in design: a world without oil



conversations in design is an annual conference held as part of the toronto design festival, this year’s first
edition focused on the theme a world without oil. the event features a full lineup of 15 speakers including
architects fritz haeg, designer tord boontje, artecnica’s enrico bressan, architect sheila kennedy, IDEO’s
ted howes, designer bruce mau and biomimicry pioneer dr. dayna baumeister. the talks ranged from
critical debates to historical perspectives on issues of sustainability. here are some highlights from the
