christian giroux and daniel young: andersson



canadian artists christian giroux and daniel young have become well known for their sculptural work
made with ikea furniture. the team created a new installation of works presented by ikea at the 2010
interior design show in toronto. ‘andersson’ as the new work it titled, features a series of ikea stools
reconfigured with various metal objects to create completely new sculptural forms. the presentation is
the latest in the duo’s work and the first time they collaborated directly with the swedish furniture maker.

I personally love their work! I don't think this is one of their strongest pieces but I still like it. I love how they re work IKEA stuff into new forms and that they actually got sponsored by the company for this project.
