jonas wagell design bar stockholm furniture fair

VIP lounge - 'the forest'
swedish architect and designer jonas wagell was commisioned to create the design bar
at this year's stockholm furniture fair.
trade fairs are temporary constructions quickly built to be torn down a few days later.
the design bar was a way of embracing the temporary and creating a space which is influenced
by stage design and graphics instead of polished architecture. large cut-outs of mountains,
industrial buildings, trees and clouds created the backdrop to the scene, while balloons were
utilized to give that feeling of temporality. the 350 sqm space consisted of two separate areas:
the design bar 'industry' and the VIP lounge 'forest'.
the brightly coloured bar was furnished with new products by jonas wagell:
the montmartre furniture set from mitab, mr gardner outdoor furniture by berga form
and cage steel baskets and the odd family of lamps, bowls and vases from hello industry.
