swedish designer johan lindstén has sent us images of his new work.
this series of chairs depict images of the typical idyllic swedish landscape.
many dream to be a part of this scenery with a red cottage, close to the water,
in the heart of nature. the scenes are executed in cross-stitching, a craft form which has not
always been well appreciated. with this furniture, lindstén wants to elevate and promote
this neglected art form, by mixing it in with the contemporary.

the chairs are exhibited as part of 'check in 10' at the stockholm furniture fair 2010,
which runs from february 9th to 13th, 2010.
