swedish design / architecture studio claesson koivisto rune (CKR) has designed 'snowflakes',
a series of side tables for swedish company offecct. the starting point for the work
came from photographer wilson bentley, who devoted his career to capturing snowflakes
with his camera, fascinated by the fact that 'every (snow) crystal is a masterpiece of design
and no one design is ever repeated
.'

CKR has translated this natural phenomenon into tables. the computer aided production method
used to produce the tables achieves the same variations in form that is found in snowflakes -
each one displaying a unique design. 'snowflakes' were presented at stockholm furniture fair 2010.
