Even though I'm not a fan of novelty design, this really works. Great idea of increasing or reducing cutting space, say in the instance of a restaurant, where you needed the cutting area for vast quantities of food and then needed to reduce it in order to plate up.

It would also work well as a trivet with four pertrusions/inclusions rather than 2. Great idea as a self servery, but really should be a bit thinner, as something this size might become a burden when your talking/mingling with people over the duration of a social function.

this would be a cool addition to any modern home. designer yet functional. great for serving guests, and a sure conversation piece.
