moleskine: MSK templates

moleskine: MSK templates

templates can be customized, downloaded and added to sketchbook

moleskine has released a series of unique MSK templates for all moleskine users to download
and insert into their notebooks. through MSK, users can also transfer digital content such as
contacts, events or original associations of images and text for further personalization of their
sketchbooks. the MSK wizard can help create a personalized template for any area of interest
including local art exhibits, social events, or theater productions. meanwhile the events page
allows you to upload the events you will be attending and the contacts page lets you upload
your contacts from outlook, plaxo or a mobile phone. in doing this, moleskine hopes to make
their sketchbooks even more personalized and functional for individual needs.

Ya gotta be kidding me. i thought maybe they were going to show me a way to create a customized moleskine, which would have been totally cool. . .but this is just a big huge buzz kill. . .

isn't this exactly the opposite reason i should use/carry a moleskine, -- to NOT go thru this shit?
j.d.heilprin   02.24.10
what a waste of paper!
thomas gravemaker   02.24.10
I totaaly agree!
why buy a high quality paper moleskin and glue some cheap ass printerpaper in it...
C.J.   02.24.10
Just buy good quality paper!
JV   02.24.10
??? looks like if they want to bring back people from their digital agenda to a paper one ... making the paper one looking like the digital one...doesn't make sence at all. waste of paper AND TIME !!!!!
ak   02.24.10
hahahahahah stupid.
wow stick with notebook making. leave the designing to designers.
BS   02.24.10
um... i have been doing this since i was 10, and i didn't need special software. is this company run by monkeys?
alecu   02.24.10
This is RIDICULOUS!!
(never made an internet comment before- but this just fired me up!)
at   02.24.10
AND, moleskine uses quite inferior paper. It's all hype I tells yah.
bob   02.25.10
Using a paperless electronic medium to superfluously embelish a paper medium with more paper...HOW BLOODY RIDICULOUS. Aren't moleskins meant to be an ANALOGUE form of personalised reference/recording?

Why not just have a detachable page format which can be printed onto? It really defeats the purpose of using this medium and becomes a time consuming wasteful exercise - electricity, product components, ink, money, paper.

In an age of environmental awareness and great ideas that reduce our dependence on ever diminishing resources, this concept takes at step in the opposite direction and takes the cake for self-indulgent unwarranted short-sightedness.
kent gration   02.25.10
P.S. what bright spark orientates an A5 on an A4 piece of paper like that? Surely they could have gotten 2 x A5's out of the A4? As I've said in my above comment, WHAT A RIDICULOUS WASTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! inlcuding the fact that DB has even highlighted this on their webblog.
kent gration   02.25.10
doesn't it take more time? (to find, print and glue) i would prefer just writing sth down on the paper, it's a lot easier
Paulina   02.26.10
ARE YOU THIS kent gration?
