'iphone case' in 304 stainless steel

american industrial designer ryan glasgow has designed a stainless steel iphone case
with a protective hinged lid. its internal silicone bumpers ensure a tight fit with 3G and
3GS phones. when closed, the hinged lid features a window opening which allows views
of date/time and incoming calls. users have the option of using the phone either with
the lid open or closed. antenna cutaways located at lower back of the case allows
for air circulation and cooling of the inserted mobile device. added bumpers give
protection to the delicate areas of the phone and allow mobiles to stand on its end or side.

the cases, available in both aluminum and stainless steel, has been released for public purchase.

What would John Connor do about this Terminator of an iPhone case?
Chris   03.10.10
star trek.... why? why would you do that???
Jamie Fry   03.10.10
For me this is the equivalent of sticking a spoiler on a perfectly well designed car. Pimp my microwave so to speak... Things like iPhone cases and iPod wallets are just the kind of shit that we should not waste money and resources producing.

The products are ready to use as they are - no need to wrap them up in cotton wool, metal or plastic. Imagine that anything that might get damaged through use had a case or cover?!
Reelist   03.10.10
Exactly why does one buy a nice phone and then sees himself "forced" to protect it with a cower that makes it look worse then any possible damage one could even imagine?

When will they start living!!!
pjv   03.11.10
a little agricultural perhaps. Is there one for the ipad? haha

awsome design :) reminds me of the inside of a computer case or something from "the good" star wars films. where do i buy one from?
and to those negative comments, we don't all want our pretentious iphones to look like pretentious iphones. although on another note, it dosnt really need the face cover, maybe have one that came be taken off easily and install a infa red light at the end so i can use it as a universal remote:) ...and some good designs on his website:)

to Reelist
iphones scratch very easily you really do need a case, poorly designed on that respect, u really cannot stop it from minor scratches and at the price i bet you'd get a case.
leoski   03.11.10
the case makes it look like a motorola v3
de lotion   03.11.10
All mobile phones get scratched that's what happens when you use them. All shoes get scuffed and so on... Buy what you are comfortable with using and you would not be pretentious.
Reelist   03.11.10
Totally agree with Reelist. Why not put a big rubber silicone case on your newly bought fridge, or perhaps a massive brushed aluminium cage around your new car just in case it gets bumped or scratched. Lets use our time and resources on better things than consumerist crap.
