luca nichetto for skitsch

'alle' chairs front view
'alle', a new chair design by luca nichetto for skitsch will be presented during
the milan design week 2010. the preview will take place during the opening of
the skitsch brompton road shop in london on march 25.
created to serve many uses, 'alle' is a revisitation of the tubular chair, but with
a structural twist. the chair consists of a tubular metal structure into which a curved
plywood seat is fitted. it comes in two versions, a classic four-legged one and another
with a four-footed columnar base. the paint on the edges of the seat are gradated, using
the same color as the frame. this gives the chairs an appearance of wear reminiscent of
wooden chairs in cafés or bars.
