BMW kvadrat: the dwelling lab
'the dwelling lab'
for this year's milan design week, BMW and danish textile company kvadrat are collaborating
with designers patricia urquiola and giulio ridolfo on an installation called 'the dwelling lab'.
the project explores the interior and exterior of the new BMW 5 series gran turismo.
it is constructed from five geometrical cones, which are impacted into a model of the car.
the cones are covered in kvadrat textiles and provide five different points of view into the vehicle.
the partner lighting company on the project is FLOS.
'the dwelling lab' will be on show at the kvadrat showroom, corso monforte 15, milan
from april 14th - 19th, 2010.
