porsche design, a subsidary of the germany luxury car company has designed P’9522 BLACK, a mobile phone catering specifically to the porsche-driving audience. this limited edition model features a fingerprint sensor to authenticate users and is made from a combination of matte black anodized aluminum and a black mineral glass. the matte black finish is a characteristic trait of the porsche brand and is used in many of its products such as the exterior porsche racing cars.

at a retail value of 2,280 SGD or 1,636 USD, it finds itself three times the price of a blackberry or iphone in singapore. however, there is expected to be a high demand within the asian market, as consumers value the status symbol that comes with the porsche brand.
