the design exchange in toronto is currently showing ‘from mediterranean traditional to israeli
contemporary design’ curated by alon razgour. while not one of the most noted design countries,
israeli design has a rich history and is currently undergoing a renaissance thanks to innovative
young designers. this exhibition focuses on contemporary israeli industrial design focusing on
lighting, furniture and recreation equipment. the works included aim to demonstrate israeli design’s
sense of humour and inventive use of new and used materials.
