nendo: wire chair

'wire-chair' by japanese designer nendo is the follow-up to the 'cord-chair', which has
15 mm diameter legs of stainless steel clad in a hyper-thin wood skin. for 'wire-chair',
nendo has stripped away the wooden skin and has increased the diameter of the steel rods from
9 mm to 12 mm, thus giving the chair structural support independent from the wood.
the chair is power coated in multiple layers and hand polished to give it a lustrous finish,
reminiscent of traditional japanese lacquerware. the new finish also results in more durability
and water resistance, making the chair suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
'wire-chair' will be exhibited in nendo's private exhibition at galleria antonia jannone
during milan design week 2010.

Like one of you says before, design has to communicate..
> this design communicates you his fragility, transmits to your body and your mind the meaning of fragility, you become a part of it..
perfect for drawing on a wonderful paper.. or reading the letter you were waiting for, during so many days..
confort > that's one of the conforts in CONFORT.
I don't want to eat a cheezebuger on it, watch TV on it, be drunk on it,.. i would prefer one fat couch like the ones in trainspotting for example that would be perfect for this kind of confort.
