'fruit-template' by japanese designer nendo allows fruits to sit inside the holder by
plugging into the corresponding shape. by placing apples, oranges and bananas in this
format, 'fruit template' is a departure from the conventional fruit bowl.
'fruit-template' is being showcased galleria antonia jannone for milan design week 2010
as part of a private exhibition called 'chair garden'.

with consumers buying only perfectly rounded, symmetric shapes?
This is a product which creates exclusion of "imperfect fruit" and hence is a reflection of society. Nendos approach is also a reflection of society in its uneccessary wants rather than needs. Could have easily made a nice frutibowl from half of this material.
