recuperation, transformation and reinterpretation are the essential concepts
of maison martin margiela's aesthetic expression. for italian company cerruti baleri's
2010 collection he designed 'groupe' and 'emmanuelle' furniture pieces.

'groupe' sofa

the 'groupe' sofa originates from the assembly of found objects: chairs, arm - chairs
and couches of different periods and styles, draped with and united by a white linen
cover, cut and stitched as to reveal the forms underneath while hiding materials
and colours.

'groupe' sofa composed of three elements with internal plywood structure and CFC free soft polyurethane foam.
internal heavyweight dacron cover and separated cushions with down filling. the elements are assembled on a steel support
structure with adjustable feet.

'emmanuelle' armchair

the 'emmanuelle' armchair is reinterpreted in the same way, but thanks to its iconic
identity, as a single piece, revealed through a cover of white cotton.
