FOC: 3d printed structure for NEXT architects

'3d printed structure'
using 3D printing technology, the imagineering department at the dutch rapid
prototyping company freedom of creations (FOC) has created an exact replica of an
existing roof structure for NEXT architects. the parts were first drawn by the architectural
studio and then produced in one of FOC's laser sintering systems. each of the beam sections
is 1mm in thickness and combines the 3D printed parts with a traditional maquette built
by made by mistake.

imagineering is a division of freedom of creation (FOC). by looking
at mathematics and virtual simulation, they research the
potential of
new 3D production technologies in the field of engineering, architecture,
construction and medical care.
