norwegian architecture firm reiulf ramstad architects has won the competition for a community church
in knarvik, norway. the new structure will become a significant platform for cultural development,
arts and music in the community.

the 10 acre development will feature a common square, parking space for 40 cars,
and a promenade walkway down to kravik's center. the church itself is an unbroken translation
of the surrounding site, undulating in dynamic angles towards the steeple on the west end.
the asymmetrical windows in the geometric facades open up to let in low sunlight while providing
views of both the town and the local landscape.

I think, community will get a very nice peace of architecture. comments like "we saw that before" come from tiredness while watching photos on the Internet. This is a syndrome of tired nerve, when we see only new, only things, vibrating our aeas and professionalism goes to the second place. I wish students imagine all the process of making project, not only watch news of architecture when porno is too bored :)

I do agree gn! The overwelming amount of media is putting preasure on architects to always find new and often untested solutions, usually at the cost of function or economy..

All architects should not be inventors.

Everybody can not argue like Alsop; ugly buildnings make people murderers and burglers..
