spanish firm ACXT recently completed the first phase of the new CEIBS campus headquarters, located in the science part of zhong guan cun outside pekin, china.
the buildings are constructed as individual islands, sitting atop a semi circle like base. the façade features wooden louvres which give the structure an added dimension while blocking out sun. the overall design is conditioned by its function as a teaching institution.
