the australian design and architecture studio urban art projects creates site-specific artworks which aim
to connect people to place, like this façade at 53 albert street in brisbane. the façade is made up a map
installation titled ‘landlines’ by jennifer marchant, which features a topographic view of cunningham's
gap and the main range. the map consists of a series of lines which spread over the first three levels of
the car park designed by nettleton tribe architects. beyond its aesthetic appeal, the design also helps
ventilate the parking lot. compared to a mechanical system, the artwork has the advantage of provider
the developer with significant cost savings
