plans are underway to develop xiamen bay, china to take on the appearance of salvador dalí's
hometown of cadaqués, spain.
a team of designers hired by developer china merchants zhangzhou has already visited
the spanish town, taking photographs and making precise measurements so that it can be
faithfully recreated in china, some 6,500 miles away, where it will be marketed as a vacation
destination for around 15,000 visitors. the chinese version of cadaqués - to be situated on
more than 100 acres of land will not be an exact copy, however. the developer decided that
the quaint fishing village would benefit from the addition of an artificial island. read more
