part of R&Sie(n) installation at the venice biennale removed

'autunite' stones, a part of 'building that never dies' installation by R&Sie(n) at the venice architecture biennale 2010
francois roche has just informed designboom that a part of R&Sie(n)'s installation at this year's
venice architecture biennale was removed for potential safety hazards. 'thebuildingwhichneverdies',
is a structure focused on researching various social, environmental and astronomical elements
of light and darkness.
the installation featured a small pile of 'autunite' stone, a naturally radioactive rock that registered
at a level of 0.88 micro sievert/hour. while the experts concluded that the radiation was not harmful
and under the acceptable dosage, they were removed by venice firefighter's police officials soon
after the biennale opened to the public.

I'm confused, why were they removed???
Because people are idiots. The local "Officials" saw something that frightened them and had the objects removed.
meanwhile cell phones radiations might be brain blenders but who gives a f...? theres' 2 much dough at stake.
