on a recent trip to france, designboom met up with david serero, the founding architect of serero architects,
and visited his studio in paris to get an inside look at the young practice's creative space.
located on the right bank of the capital city, the multi-level studio features a storefront off the bustly
avenue parmentier. unassuming in atmosphere and affectations, the workspace is simply organized,
enabling easy and open collaboration among coworkers.

since its establishment in 2000, the firm has extensively explored and challenged the role of
generative and logarithmic design in architecture. previous projects have often featured a repetitive
and mathematical manipulation of skin, organic facade treatments, fluid and dynamic structural systems,
and digital manufacturing. the studio's process is heavily driven and determined by research,
which often spans beyond the scope of the specific program - even the specific field. the result is
a young body of work that entwines together various disciplines and specialties to create
new typologies and models.

I agree with JtR.
The firms' drawing guys learned Rhino and AutoCAD 2011, you can tell!

these researches, this kind of structural exercises are definitely very interesting, the table is made out of paper and is able to keep the weight of a glass top...

In my opinion, the most ecological driven architecture uses this kind of approach. Their buildings consume very little electricity for heating and cooling.
