located in the district of boudry, switzerland, 'footbridge in corcelles' by swiss practice maison d'art'chitecture
is a sculptural structure is a new connective medium between the old town and the residential areas of the municipality.
accommodating a maintenance shed and a small area for public parking, the design stretches over the primary bypass road
and serves to both pedestrians and cyclists.

composed of two distinct and complementary elements, the footbridge consists of a pair of ramps
that intersect their axis to create a passage of transition from one point to the other.
the primary structure that spans over the road is constructed out of wood and features a geometric form
that directs views to the nearby lake. the concrete component that houses the small maintenance shed offers
a look-out point that cantilevers off its base. in addition to providing passage for pedestrians,
the project serves as a visual point of reference as well as an informal meeting point.
