'siansa national concert hall' by copenhagen-based practice henning larsen architects
is a finalist entry in the invited competition for the cultural facility in dublin, ireland.
aiming to serve as more than just a concert hall with exceptional acoustics, the project
seeks to have a societal relevance to the citizens, drawing from both the atmosphere
and heritage of the site in its iconic design.

rendered fly-by
situated in front of the iveagh gardens, one of dublin's oldest public green spaces,
the concert hall focuses on preserving the cultural significance of the site, serving as
a transitional zone between the old and the new. though contemporary in its design,
its careful application of transparent elements ensure that the new structure is successfully
integrated with the preexisting components of the location. an expansive courtyard features
a series of interconnecting spaces that shift the experience of the atmosphere as the visitors
approach the hall. opening up to a generous entrance atrium, the outdoor courtyard becomes
a new urban meeting place.
aiming to set a new standard for concert hall acoustics, the new symphonic hall is equipped
with state-of-the-art technology and application to ensure an immersive listening experience
for the visitors.
