peru-based practice artadi arquitectos has completed ‘beach house in las palmeras’, an ocean front vacation home located south of lima city.

organized into three levels, the residence features a series of living spaces that respond to and focus on the importance of the surrounding environment. looking to reduce the complexity of the architectural form, the structure consists of simple intersecting blocks that gradually reveal themselves and become more exposed, as they move away from the beach at ground level.

a cantilevered third floor which houses the social programs of the residence, floats above a seemingly negative void and extends towards the horizon. open to the sky and the sea, the dominant volume develops an uninterrupted integration between interior and exterior spaces.
