ideal structures with viable budgets.

exterior veranda provides panoramic vistas of the matarranya region

a hollowed monolithic concrete form rises above the landscape providing unobstructed views of the matarranya region of spain.
a substantial base supports the inhabitable element from below instilling within dwellers the feeling of hovering above the trees.
the circulation consists of a focal room containing a pool which extends choreographed views through punched fenestrations.
living spaces are swept to the perimeter veranda which serves as a hybrid observation platform and balcony while the corners
perpetually remain open-air.

thick exterior concrete walls contain elements needed for service functions while simultaneously providing a heightened
sense of privacy and enclosure. an impression from the wooden form-works provide a surface texture to the monochromatic facade.
a photovoltaic solar system for electricity, closed loop underfloor radiant heating, onsite waste decanting and water storage
together create a self supporting and energy efficient residence. further exploration is accommodated on the concealed roof
carpeted with native vegetation.
