copenhagen based practice henning larsen architects has won the competition to redesign seimens' corporate headquarters
in munich, germany. the building, which is set to break ground in the fall of 2012, will lay the basis for a complete restructuring
of the electronics and electrical engineering company's offices in the city center. selected for its comprehensive approach to
sustainability, the corporate hub will feature a number of innovations and energy-efficient building technologies developed by
siemens, including photovoltaic systems and sustainable lighting options.

view from street
a collection of intersecting wings compose the overall headquarters, its angular and contoured volumes generating a series of
enclosed courtyards. governed by the surrounding historical landscape and built environment, the structure seeks to integrate
itself into the context of its neighborhood, preserving plazas and a nearby 19th century building designed by leo von klenze.
accessible to the general public via pedestrian passageways and vibrant
courtyards, the campus will link the city's historic center
with its museum quarter. cultural offerings, cafes and bistros hosted on the ground floor will further bridge the gap between
the two districts.

interior
inside, a modern flexible working environment will hold up to 1,200 employees from the company's corporate units and new
infrastructure and cities sector. the complex will feature bright offices designed to foster communication and teamwork,
and state-of-the-art board rooms.
