dusseldorf based anin jeromin fitilidis & partner architecture has completed 'look up agentur' located
in gelsenkirchen, germany. the resident communication agency desired a new office which represented
the company's self-confident nature and progressive working methodologies. the three-story structure
is sited on a rehabilitated colliery field. visually and programmatically divided laterally into two elements,
the production facilities are concealed within a concrete podium. the creative floors are located above within
a transparent box allowing employees to continuously view the surrounding landscape. restroom facilities are
contained within an elongated concrete block along one facade with small walkout balconies accessible on each level.

an internal 17 centimeter load bearing wall formed from reinforced concrete is encased with an additional
10 centimeter shell poured on site. the glass is framed with larch wood assembled in a simple post and beam
construction with concealed fasteners. a free-standing lamella brise soleil with fixed cantilevered louvers
protecting the truncated south elevation from direct sunlight. for interior applications, white epoxy resin and
concrete are used within the production areas while matching wood and steel are found within the upper floors.

Very beautiful, looks machined by fine cutting tools. Proportions are perfect. Might be a bit spooky working there at night.
