david garcia studio of copenhagen, denmark has received third prize for the norwegian architects association for architects
international competition to create the 'jøssingfjord museum' for jøssingfjord, norway. art and history of the region's
mining industry are brought together in one site encouraging visitors to interact with nature, technology and society.
positioned above a retired titanium mine, the building's pitched roofs offer vertical and horizontal sight lines to the
natural and artificial landscape.

vehicular approach to museum

clustering a series of volumes around an inner courtyard typical of norwegian architecture, the form becomes integral
with the rugged terrain. outdoor exhibitions may be held within the central space bringing nature into the museum
experience and providing accessibility to other exhibits. envisioned as the fifth facade, the roof's diverse inclinations
and orientations allow daylight to be blocked within galleries while offering panoramic views from the cafe and auditorium.

I love the presentation and external renders they feel rich with design thought. Interior design and renderings were a little disappointing and lack the same design detailing. Might have been worth while leaving them out of the presentation. Otherwise I love it
