japanese practice daisuke motogi architecture has created ‘soccer goal pavilion’, a series of temporary structures created from a pair of end-posts for sporting events. quickly and easily assembled by a few individuals, the festive shelters may be created by rotating one post on its side and placing it on top of the other. the two elements are secured to each other producing a rigid framework for a shaded and open-air space.

a canvas canopy is tailored to partially cover the rectangular or triangular forms while the classic open weave netting generates a permeable boundary. the triangular configuration contains a punctured entry portal while the rectangular arrangement presents a rolled screen to entirely open or close half of the structure.
