japanese practice suppose design office has completed 'house in saka', a single family dwelling in
hiroshima, japan. enclosed with a windowless facade, the exterior of this dwelling discreetly lifts
from the ground to introduce natural light into the interior spaces. wrapped around a central open-air
courtyard, the living and dining area overlook the tree which has been planted within the void.

please add the floor plans, they will help a lot to understand such complex layout.

interesting solution. the pics look great, but they are shot on a sunny day. I expect much more of dark basement feel with other weather conditions.

what is wrong with japanese people..always isolating themselves..
w   11.21.11
This project is beautiful, they do this because their cities are so dense! Instead of staring into their neighbors windows they live their lives in peace in their cool homes!
just sayin   11.21.11
it looks good design but seem a bit bad utilization of space
and not so good furnishing
