californian practice edward ogosta architecture has designed 'four eyes house', a weekend residence within the desert of the coachella valley,
outside of los angeles, california. derived from the specific site location, four towers dedicated for sleeping are oriented towards
spatiotemporal experiences including the morning sunrise in the east, southern mountain range, evening city lights to the west and the
celestial sky overhead. the top floor bedrooms contain solely a bed, filling the footprint of each tower, which are of equivalent area
allowing family members to change based on their personal preference.
the elevated sleeping quarters alters the dwellers sensation of sleeping and waking, intensified by natural events including the earth's movement,
slowly rotating under the stars. to access the common areas of the home, vertical circulation ranging from a ladder to spiral, switchback or
shallow riser stairs connects directly to the common area. the spaces are loosely defined and enclosed with frameless glass walls allowing
a permeable relationship with the swimming pool and landscape beyond.

The sleeping rooms are wonderful but the ground floor feels like a boardroom.

Love, love, love the concept!
The shared area seems very spacious.
My only concert is with the loft volumes. They seem very tight.
Otherwise a beautiful oasis.

In India I saw a Maharaja\'s outside sleeping quarters with the ceiling and walls covered in small glass tiles. The open walls were situated in such a way to reflect the moon\'s movement all night so that if you were to wake you\'d see little sparkles of light glancing all over the walls. At least that\'s what I imagined happening.
Oh, and how on earth would one change the beds?

Forgot to add . . . what about sand storms pitting the glass . . . ?

Normally, I would say that I am a fan of Victorian architecture or Tudor-Style houses, but somehow I really like this concept. I know it is completely different, but I love how spacious this is. And, of course, those views are just perfect!

Architecture, concept, surroundings and car are far above magnificent and iconic! The choice for funiture however is a cliché.
