hudson yards by steven holl architects

steven holl architects recently unveiled their entry in the hudson yards redevelopment competition. the master
plan is a proposal for the eastern and western rail yards on new york's hudson river, in mid-town manhattan.
the project aims to create a mixed use neighborhood that features extensive public spaces with the use of a
notably large suspension deck that creates a large green space directly over ground level. at 12 million square
feet in area the site is one of the largest undeveloped areas in new york's urban core. steven holl architects is
hoping this site will create a new paradigm for urban design in the 21st century.
