I'd like to comment on that project as i am a graduating Bulgarian student in architecture. Honestly, this project is totally inappropriate for our country both in urban structure and in architecture!

First, it has nothing in common with the traditional Bulgarian villages with their compound structure and curvy little streets but it rather looks like a South American city with these repetitive terraced rows of houses.

Second, the architecture of the houses themselves remind me of some far-east houses with those wide square wooden surfaces unlike our bays and complex house silhouettes.

In conclusion, the whole thing isn't at all sensitive to the environment and has nothing to do with Bulgarian's specific architectural characteristics. I'm glad that there's going to be a famous architect's project in our country but i am deeply disappointed by the nature of this project...
