carbon neutral black sea resort by foster + partners

foster + partners has released its first project in bulgaria: a carbon neutral resort on the black sea.
the project is a car free town is specifically designed with an ideal density in mind, integrating the
residences into the landscape to preserve the natural environment. the town is focused on the seaside
activity centre and marina at its centre. transportation will be provided by electric shuttle buses and
special lanes for electric vehicles and bikes. the entire design will maintains the existing hill structure,
sparring the mature growth forests and maximizes the seaside views.

Second, the architecture of the houses themselves remind me of some far-east houses with those wide square wooden surfaces unlike our bays and complex house silhouettes.
In conclusion, the whole thing isn't at all sensitive to the environment and has nothing to do with Bulgarian's specific architectural characteristics. I'm glad that there's going to be a famous architect's project in our country but i am deeply disappointed by the nature of this project...
