the amazon court is a new multi use building by schmidt hammer lassen architects
in prague. the structure will incorporate offices, cafés, shops and restaurants.
the building will be part of the river city prague development. the glass and stone
structure is already under construction. the foundation and concrete sections are
complete as well as the impressive 32m glass bridge on the interior. the use of
glass was intentional to increate the building environmental efficiency. it helps
reduce the amount of artificial light necessary and minimizes heat transfer.
earlier this year, architectural review awarded the building the ar future project
award in the ‘office’ category.
