architects david chipperfield and antony gormley have designed a pavillion for kivik art centre.
made entirely from concrete the sculpture consists of three parts; the cave, the stage and the tower.
a spiral staircase leads visitors up to the tower where views of the baltic sea can be seen, 18m above
ground. the three sections provide the public with different landscapes. the pavillion only took 2 months
to construct. each year a pavillion is created for the kivik art centre, last year it was designed by
norwegian architects snohetta.
