at this year's yokohama triennale, japan several contemporary architects will join the wealth of artists presenting
work. akihisa hirata, ryue nishizawa (sanaa), minsuk cho (mass studies) and didier fiúza faustino will show
projects at what is the largest international art exhibition in japan.



akihisa hirata, one of the most promising young architects in japan, will make the 'house of houses' developing
his 2007 concept 'house t'. this experimental building will host the triennial's information center and an exhibition
of housing proposals by several other architects. since the earlier work 'house s' (2006), hirata has been exploring
untapped potential of pitched-roof house. hirata set up his office in 2005 after working at toyo ito's office where
he was responsible for tod's building and the forum ghent proposal among other projects.
