presented in the kensington gardens at the venice architecture biennale, massimiliano and doriana fuksas
presented their project of a home, container, refuge, a space where life takes place. video screens are
set-up in the container in which one can view a man and women meeting, looking, speaking and eating
with one another other. they are both friends and lovers. they sit at a table, consuming a lot of food
and drink, producing a lot of waste. there is a large screen which plays the news and a dog is rummaging
in the garbage they are making. happenings occur, but don't occur. things come and go without warning.

the houses can be moved to any other space, anywhere an emergency might occur. to the architects,
the theme 'out there: architecture beyond building' means going beyond building and the human being,
life and its contradictions.
