'o-14' tower by reiser+umemoto



the ‘o-14’ tower by new york based architects reiser+umemoto will be featured in an upcoming documentary
on the discovery channel. the tower is located in dubai and will be highlighted in ‘impossible city’ a program
exploring the explosion of growth in dubai. the building is a 22-story commercial tower perched on a two-story
podium. the design avoids the glass curtain so typical in dubai architecture and instead uses a perforated
concrete shell to provides shade. the first nine floors of the tower are now complete and the building is
expected to open in spring 2009.
